The Sundance ZipTour® captures what makes this mountain extraordinary: wild beauty, thoughtful stewardship, and a sense of discovery that has shaped the resort since its earliest days. Before the tour even begins, the setting speaks for itself—towering peaks, dense forest, and the quiet hum of water in the canyon. It’s a place that slows you down and reminds you why landscapes like this matter.
Guests check in at the base area, gear up with the help of trained guides, and receive a brief orientation before heading up the mountain. The scenic chairlift rides set the tone: rising through aspen and pine, the views widen to reveal Mount Timpanogos and the protected canyon below. It feels less like approaching an attraction and more like entering the landscape.
The tour begins at the top of Bishop’s, where the full scale of the mountain comes into view. From the launch deck, you can trace the canyon, see the bowls below, and spot the next spans stretching into the distance. The first ride is a half mile descent over Bishop’s Bowl—fast, smooth, and breathtaking. Riders control their own speed, choosing to fly or slow down to take in the alpine views.
From there, the tour continues to Flathead, another long, dramatic span that soars hundreds of feet above the ground. Side by side cables let friends and family ride together, pass each other, or pause mid air to take in the scenery. The Wasatch Range opens around you, and the canyon feels impossibly vast.
The finale is Outlaw, one of the longest zip line spans in the country. Nearly 4,000 feet of descent carries you from high alpine terrain toward the base area, with speeds that can top 60 mph. Wind, height, and motion blend into a single, unforgettable run. As you glide over the final stretch, the forest gives way to open air and the resort comes back into view—a reminder of how far you’ve traveled in minutes. At Sundance, adventure isn’t separate from the environment; it’s a way of experiencing it more deeply.
